Birthday mornings at our house always start off with donuts! Kylie's 11th birthday wasn't any different. You can see how exciting this is for everyone in the family. (I should have gotten a picture of mom and dad). :) It is a great way to start off an exciting day and the kids love it.
All Kylie wanted for her 11th birthday were her very own Legos. Some that the boys cant use and that she can do whatever she wants with. Kind of a strange gift - but needless to say, she was very excited to have them.
That night we celebrated with an ice cream cake.
Ice cream is probably one of Kylie's favorite things in the world.
That weekend Kylie had her very first sleepover party. The girls had a great time and got along so well even though some of them had never met. I limited the number to four friends and it was awesome. No one was left out and they played and hung out all together the whole night.
They made their own pizzas and drank rootbeer in bottles.
For some reason, that was the coolest thing ever.
CHEERS!
Because Kylie had already had a birthday cake earlier in the week, she really wanted to make her own birthday cupcakes at the party. I thought this was a great idea and they made and decorated them all on their own.
Next, she opened some really nice presents. She has some great friends that know her very well.
Nighttime jumping on the trampoline with glow in the dark mustaches.....
Finishing the night off with a movie and some popcorn....
David and I went to bed, but I hear that the girls were up until about 1:30am. Not too bad! The next morning they were up bright and early dancing along with Just Dance on the Wii. Once the wall hit, you could see the exhaustion all over their faces. They had a great time and I know that Kylie will always remember her 11th birthday.
