Happy Easter

The kids love Easter time and all of the fun and traditions that come along with it.  This year, I really tried to focus on the true reason that we celebrate Easter with the kids.  I feel like they are getting older, and really starting to understand and develop their own testimonies.  We spent a Friday night reading the story of the Savior's life, death, when he was resurrected and how he atoned for our sins.  We read it directly from the scriptures and watched an amazing video so that they could see what we read come to life.  They asked a lot of questions and it was a great opportunity to teach.  Even Cameron seemed to really understand the importance of it all.  I look forward to doing the same at Christmas time this year.

We did have a lot of fun celebrating as Easter time came.  Cameron participated in his last preschool parade and it was very bittersweet.  David was able to join me as we watched.  I remember many parades with a baby sitting on my lap, and here we were, just mom and dad, no babies.  I had tears in my eyes as he walked by and waved at us.  I know that sounds lame, but I was very emotional remembering Kylie and Chad in those same parades.  I knew that Cameron was that much closer to going to kindergarten.  David thought I was being ridiculous, but I know that moms understand.

I realized this might be the last year that he is excited to see the Easter Bunny at the mall too.

Dying Easter eggs - Can you tell the kids had just woken up?

Easter morning is so fun.  The kids always wake up to find Easter
baskets and surprises outside of their doors.

I seriously love this picture.  :)

A basket full of eggs for everyone.  They work together to find them pretty well.  Every now and then David and I need to remind them to simmer down and that they all end up sharing it at the end anyway.  It's actually really funny to watch.

Looking good and ready for church!  I love these cute kids.  It was a great day celebrating together.
