If all of our children are as smart and enjoy school as much as Kylie, we're going to have to add a room on to the house just to display all of the awards! She had another awards assembly last week and came away with another four!! It's honestly ridiculous--we're so proud of her!

Cameron FINALLY Walks
Yep, Cameron finally took his first steps! We don't have any pictures of it because we had the video camera going, but we'll post them as soon as we get them! He's just shy of the fifteen month mark, which goes right along with how he started moving from the start! The boy started crawling late, didn't want to eat anything but babyfood for the longest time, and is certainly taking his time with walking now. Even Kylie and Chad, who were both premature, walked before he did! We'll see what else he does slowly over the years--we doubt it will be much--so, for now, we'll enjoy it!
Kylie LOVES Performing
Kylie is a VERY proud Promenade All-Star--her school's performing group--and loves to sing, dance, and act with them! She had the opportunity to perform with this group at the Alvord Unified School District music festival. She had so much fun, and they did a great job! We were so impressed with all of the groups, and the grand finale with all of the choirs and their directors was spectacular. We look forward to MANY more of these festivals.

On a side note, as Chad was watching Kylie and the other groups perform, we had quite the unexpected, spiritual moment. Chad's words, exactly, were, "Mommy, when they are singing and dancing, I feel like I'm with Heavenly Father still!" Does that confirm anyone else's testimony, or just ours, because we thought that was pretty neat!!??

Valentine's in Vegas
We actually got to spend Valentine's Day weekend in Las Vegas with our great friends, Jeff and Marisa Hill and their family. We got there Saturday morning, got a babysitter and went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and hit the strip. It was a really fun Valentine's Day! We also spent some time at the Valley of Fire State Park, which is about an hour north of Vegas (not 20 minutes, Jeff!!). It's beautiful and the kids had a blast climbing all over, in and around the rocks. The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing and playing cards and messing around with all of the kids. Coming home was a bit of a mess--a big storm closed the Cajon Pass, so we had to detour through Blythe! It took about seven hours in the pouring rain--not bad, now that we look back on it--but it was a bit rough at the moment! At least there wasn't any snow going home that way...thanks for a great weekend, guys! We love you!
Ky's Valentine's Day Fun
Valentine's Day was particularly fun with Kylie this year. She got to make valentine's for all of the kids in her class (note that the one in front, and of course the most important, is for Jacob!!) and for the girls at dance class. We had a lot of fun making them!
