Happy Birthday Daddy!

We just wanted to wish Daddy a Happy 32nd birthday! He's an amazing man and deserves a great day. (The real celebration will be when Mommy and Daddy spend next weekend ALONE in Lake Arrowhead - can't wait! :) Look for a future post with those pictures!) I honestly can't believe that David and I are this old. It feels like yesterday when we met in 7th grade at Ball Jr. High School in Anaheim. Lots of good stories and great memories. Time flies by fast....I'm looking forward to the next 32 years with a great guy!

Our Favorite Day with Daddy

For those of you who don't know, to say that David LOVES airplanes is a little bit of an understatement. His favorite thing to do is to sit at LAX and watch planes...all day! So, to make this activity kid and Lauriann friendly, we add a few of our favorite things to this adventure to make it a great day for all of us! Monday was Martin Luther King, Jr. Day so no one had school and it was 85 degrees, but we aren't bragging (well, maybe we are!). So, we were off to the airport and ended up having, quite truthfully, the perfect day! They were filled with David's favorite things (and some of everyone else's favorite things, too)--the family, In n Out Burger, airplanes, and the beach! Did we mention it was 85 degrees? It was beautiful! This is one of the many reasons why we live in California!

Happy 7th Birthday, Kylie!!

It's hard to believe Kylie is seven years old. She's such a fun little girl and has come such a long way. Do you remember how sick she was when she was born?? She is smart, sweet and loves her family and friends. She had a great (LONG) day on Friday.

MORNING

NOON

NIGHT

Stolen Stroller

It's been a while since we renewed our Disneyland Annual Passes. Kylie and Chad had theirs given to them for Christmas, so we went a couple of weeks ago for the first time in quite a while. It was a lot of fun...until our stroller was stolen! How annoying!! We have been going to Disneyland with strollers for YEARS--at least 40 times--and we have NEVER had one taken. This time, it happened. We were so disappointed...especially because it was our nice stroller! Oh well...

Chad's Picture

Ever since Chad started drawing and writing letters, he has drawn what we affectionatley call 'designs.' There haven't been too many pictures that are recognizable. However, the other day he had to share what he did with his class mascot. He drew a picture and it actually looked like a cat. Here it is! We were so proud!

Family Pictures

We've decided that everytime a baby turns one, we will take nice family pictures. So, since Cameron just turned one, here are the latest. We took them at JCPenney's and though we haven't always had the best experiences there, this time was great!

Cameron's First Birthday Pics

We had a great time on Cameron's first birthday. We took family pictures, had lunch and spent an hour or so at Tom's Farms and then went to the Hannon's for New Year's Eve. Cameron fell asleep early but we had fun! Then, on Saturday, we had a family birthday party. It was fun to celebrate his first birthday with everyone!

Cameron Turns One!

Our little boy just turned one and we can't believe how fast this year has gone. I feel like I missed something....where did the time go? Here are some special things about our little one year old.

-Cameron crawls like he is on a mission. He is always moving and is always on a mission to do something or see someone.

-He loves to pull up and stand wherever he can and is extremely proud of himself when he does.

-He just started to cruise on the furniture, but like with our other kids, I don't think he will be walking for a couple of more months.

-He loves to bend over and stand on his head and feet (not sure how to better describe that position, but it is really funny!)

-He can do sign language for the words more, eat, all done, light, and please. He points at everything he sees and is so curious to figure out what everything is.

-He can say so many little words, and he is learning more and more each day. He is such a smartie, and you can tell that he wants to be big like his brother and sister! He says mama, dada, car, ball, hi, anta (Santa), Cha (Chad), gm-pa (grandpa), daw daw (dog), up, nana (banana), and my personal favorite when Daddy appears "Hi Dada!" We love hearing his little voice.

-He loves dogs, and will cry if they are walking away from him. He loves Elmo and will cuddle his big Elmo any time throughout the day. He loves to look at books and loves bath time. He will either have a car or a ball in his hand at all times. (Why are boys innately like this?)

We love him so much and can't wait to watch him grow.

LEGOLAND!!!!

For Christmas David's mom bought us all tickets to go to Legoland. We have never been there and we had so much fun. The best part of the entire day was that we were able to get free tickets for another day in the park. Can't wait to go back. Here are some of the highlights from our day:

Kylie is terrified of the unknown. She is not much of a risk-taker and has become a worry wart (just like her mom). It is like pulling teeth to get her to try a new ride that looks even the tiniest bit threatening. Keep in mind that this was a roller coaster built for two year olds! This is what she looked like as we walked for 45 minutes through our first line at Legoland.

This is Kylie and Chad after the ride! We were so proud of Kylie and were happy that she had a little breakthrough. Chad, on the other hand, will take risks any time. No surprise he enjoyed that one!

Cameron's one ride at Legoland was this little boat. He was a little scared of the Lego statues, but he liked floating on the water. Unfortunately, there are not many attractions built for babies Cameron's age.

Thank you Grandma for a great day....We love you!

Car Conversations

So I know that we all have these conversations with our kids in the car. But I have to post this one so I won't forget it. Actually, I should actually start posting most of them so that I will have record of each and every one. They are great and kids sure are cute!

On the way home from school...

Kylie: "I think I am going to change what I want to be when I grow up. I think instead of a doctor I want to be a teacher."

Mom: "That sounds good, you may change your mind more in the future, too. You have a lot of teachers in your family, so that might just be what you do. You would be good at that."

Kylie: "I just don't know what to do. I don't want to be gone from my kids all day, and if I am a teacher I will be."

Mom: "You can decide that when you get older. Just like Mommy, you can teach for a while, and then stay home when you have kids. You just have to make sure that your husband has a good job so that you don't have to work."

Chad: (WHO HAS BEEN TOTALLY QUIET UP UNTIL THIS POINT, BUT OBVIOUSLY LISTENING VERY INTENTLY) "Oh...don't worry Kylie, I will have a good job. You won't have to work."

I thought that that was so sweet. For some reason, Chad just assumed that when he grew up he was going to be with Kylie. Leave our house with her and that was that. We then had a conversation about how you don't marry your sister, and he was going to find some other girl some day to marry. I have to admit, he looked a little disappointed.
:) It was cute.

The Best Gift (sort of) Ever!

Okay so here is a picture of my favorite Christmas gift ever. Well...it wasn't really a gift....it was actually a hand me down. I guess you could say that I get perks for having a mom that is a personal trainer and a massage therapist. Yes, I get free massages but now I even have a free treadmill. You can tell from the picture that it is old, and we had a hard time moving it up the stairs (notice the hole in the front), but..... I LOVE IT! Actually, in all honesty, the hole is a result of being stepped on in the moving process. David wants to make sure you all know that he is an excellent mover (HE IS THE EQP!) It has been really hard to go to the gym this winter. Every time I went I left feeling guilty because Cameron would always get sick. I decided that he had to be my priority, and I have only been able to go once or twice a week. Now I can exercise in my bedroom (I know... ghetto.....but there is nowhere else for it to go) WHENEVER I WANT!!!! :))))))
Thank you to my mom for this awesome hand me down - I am loving it! Ghetto or not!
