Valentine's in Vegas

We actually got to spend Valentine's Day weekend in Las Vegas with our great friends, Jeff and Marisa Hill and their family. We got there Saturday morning, got a babysitter and went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and hit the strip. It was a really fun Valentine's Day! We also spent some time at the Valley of Fire State Park, which is about an hour north of Vegas (not 20 minutes, Jeff!!). It's beautiful and the kids had a blast climbing all over, in and around the rocks. The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing and playing cards and messing around with all of the kids. Coming home was a bit of a mess--a big storm closed the Cajon Pass, so we had to detour through Blythe! It took about seven hours in the pouring rain--not bad, now that we look back on it--but it was a bit rough at the moment! At least there wasn't any snow going home that way...thanks for a great weekend, guys! We love you!
