Kylie performed with her dance studio a few times out in the community...
They also did a scholarship Christmas show and it was so fun to watch Kylie light up on the stage. I love the picture where she is looking at her dance big sister Jackie. She definitely looks up to her!
Kylie and Chad both performed with their school All Star group at the school's pancake breakfast and at the Mission Inn Festival of Lights. They look forward to this every year. It is so fun to see them up there together....so cute! Kylie was given the opportunity to do a little partner dance with her friend Abel. They did a great job but I could tell she was a little embarrassed to be dancing with a boy. :) They sang Cowboy Christmas songs and it was a lot of fun!
Chad and Cameron both had fun holiday parties at school. Kylie was a little disappointed - I guess fourth graders are too big to celebrate in the classroom. Cameron got to be a guest at Chad's second grade party and he loved all of the attention.
We loved finding and decorating our tree. Normally we go to the tree lot and it takes us forever to find the perfect tree. Open, close, open, close. We probably drive the little elves there crazy. This year was awesome! We opened up the first tree, and it was perfect. Seriously took us five minutes to drive in, find the tree, pay for it, and leave. It was great! The color in our tree decorating pictures aren't perfect, but I think they look kind of neat.
We got letters in the mail from Santa Clause saying that all three kids were on the good list this year!!!
We wrote letters to Santa Clause and visited him at the Irvine Park Santa Train. This is also a Christmas tradition every year and they get to sit on Santa's lap and hear a story from Mrs. Clause. (And of course eat popcorn and hot chocolate during the night too.) We love to go with Grandma and Mary and Alex, and little Alex too, and it is always a fun time. Watching their eyes get wide when they first walk up to Santa is so great. The kids are in awe and always ask lots of questions about how he gets to Irvine Park every year.
This is Cameron's second year in preschool and they always have a little Christmas performance in the church. It is so cute to see all of the little preschooler personalities show up in the way that they perform. Cameron was hilarious and loved being on stage. He also loved standing next to his friend Reagan during the show. I was so disappointed that the pictures are a little bit blurry, but I wanted to post them anyway. So cute!
Christmas vacation started and its always fun to have the kids all home to play together. I have a lot of good memories playing with my siblings and we were always coming up with crazy things to do when we were bored. My kids are good at keeping themselves busy, but I had to take pictures of their latest museum. They had puzzles, toys, and dolls all layed out around the downstairs and were giving tours to who ever came over that day. It was really cute how excited they get about it.
Man we were busy!!! Can't wait to do it all again next year!
