Cameron's Fourth Birthday!

This December I had to come to the realization that I no longer have any babies or toddlers in the house.  This has really been hard, although I am pretty sure we are done having babies.  Cameron is now four years old!  One of the things Cameron LOVES to do is learn about animals.  There is a show on PBS that I let him watch called Wild Kratts.  It 30 minutes of TV time that does not cause me to have any guilt.  He has learned so much about all kinds of animals, their environments, and how they live.  He can recite things that amaze me.  He has even learned new vocabulary words from the show, and uses them in the right context.  It's crazy!  I knew that the best place we could take him for his fourth birthday would be the zoo.  We have never been to the LA Zoo before and I had heard great things about it.  I was so excited to find extremely cheap tickets on Ebay and so the whole family joined us to celebrate.  It was awesome.

Nothing like mini donuts for breakfast!  Can you tell he is excited?

All he wanted for his birthday were cupcakes!  We sang to him in the middle of this little outdoor eating area, and everyone there joined in.  He thought he was pretty special!

One of the highlights of the day.  This chimp and her baby!

The second highlight...baby tigers with their mama!

We also celebrated the next week at school too!  Kylie and Chad were still on vacation,
so they were there to celebrate with his Cute Kittens class.

We had a great time celebrating Cameron's birthday as a family.  He is such a joy in our lives.  I tell everyone that he has definitely broken the Ferguson children mold - but we are so glad he did.  He lights up our house and makes it fun and exciting.  He is always willing to entertain and do silly things to get a reaction.  He doesn't ever sit still and that is why he is still taking a 90 minute nap every day and sleeping ten hours at night.  :)  He is so smart and loves to learn.  He is learning how to read and write and loves books about animals, the ocean, volcanoes - whatever is new and exciting!  Kids love to be around himm because he is so much fun and has so much energy.  (This is not always a good thing when he is in primary on Sundays!)  One more year of having him home and then he will be off to Kindergarten.  I konw that I need to soak up every moment!  We love you Cameron!
