House Projects

We have been looking into getting new carpet for a long time now.  We have had the wood floors downstairs for a few years, but our carpet upstairs was not good.  It is hard to feel happy and comfortable at home when something looks yucky all the time.  Clean or not, it didn't matter.  We finally decided to get new carpet and just how things always go, we realized that we wanted/needed to make some other changes before the new carpet could be put in.  So....on a whim, we decided to paint all of the downstairs, staircase, and upstairs hall and cupboards all by ourselves.  David did most of the work, but he did have a few helpers by his side.  :)  The kids thought it was pretty amazing to be able to paint their names all over our walls!  We had lots of fun, but it was a LOT of work.  By the end of the summer, everything was painted, and we had brand new carpet upstairs.  I am one happy girl!
