Dance Recital

I can't believe how often dance recital comes - and it's only once a year!! I look forward to it and go into denial that it is coming, all at the same time. It's like the best of times and the worst of times. At Kylie's studio, recital is a big committment and is a long show. She is very busy during this time of year, and it costs mom and dad a lot of money! :) We love to watch her enjoy being on stage though, and it is worth every penny. Check out all of the different costume changes - ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, singing, and scholarship. Can you tell which one is which?

Love these pictures of her and her friends lighting up the stage!

Here she is getting her award for her seventh recital!

Every time when it's recital week, I feel like I rarely see the boys enough. Luckily David is off from work by that point and can be there with them, but I miss them!! Recital week is pictures, dress rehearsal, and three nights of recital. It gets a little crazy, but the boys hang in there. One night Chad and Cameron built a fort with their bunk beds and they had a slumber party on the bottom bunk. I came home late with Kylie and this is what I found. So cute!

They hung in there when it was their night to come to the recital too. They seriously sit there for a four hour show. I am always amazed - I think it's because they have done this every year since they were born. It's just part of their life. :) I know this picture is dark, but it was so sweet. They were in the aisle watching Kylie perform and I looked over and saw this. I had to take a picture.

They love their sister. I hope that they are always close and protect her as they get older. Here is the last night of recital.....we were soooo tired and ready to go home and get in bed!
