A Thanksgiving to Remember

I don't think any of us will ever forget Thanksgiving this year. We missed it. Yep...that's right. We were pretty much not allowed to show up to dinner with our families this year. Not that they didn't want us there, or maybe they didn't. We were all sick. Each and every one of us. In fact, we have never been that sick before. Or maybe just not all at once. It was a horrible Thanksgiving week of vacation, and we didn't even get better in time for the actual holiday. I know I sound very negative - but it was REALLY that bad.

Despite our illnesses, we definitely made the best of the situation. Everyone was functioning at that point, and kind of had an appetite. We made our own special dinner at home and even used real dishes for the kids (they usually are stuck using plastic ones!) Kylie made a place card for everyone and we actually had a lot of fun. Most of the night was spent making jokes about how pathetic looking we all were and how funny it was that we were sitting around the table in the manner that we were. Check out our awesome night....

Nothing like some manicotti and broccoli for Thanksgiving dinner......

Here's the low down....Chad - eye almost swollen shut, me - TIRED, Cameron - double ear infections/major coughing and no pants because of an early spill, Kylie - can you tell we hadn't even brushed her hair yet that day? (Lucky I had finally decided to take a shower!) Hilarious family picture! Too bad you didn't get to see David....who hadn't showered yet! :)

Then for the real Thanksgiving dinner with
my family we finally got to do on Sunday night.
Thank goodness for real Thanksgiving food.
Here are the cousins at the kiddie table!

After dinner.....Karaoke!!

Breakdancing (headspins)....

and lots of singing!
We had a great night together with the family....we were especially
grateful for not being sick anymore!!!

Just had to add in these random pictures of Chad's first grade feast, and Cameron's feast at preschool. We had a lot of fun and ate lots of food!

LOVE the fruit loop necklaces!
